Leaving the city

So here’s the thing: I’ve got a bunch of ideas lying around—on my phone, hard drives, even old tapes. I usually just leave them there, not really pushing to turn them into proper songs.

And that kind of bugs me.

So, for the first time, I decided to get out of the city for a bit, slow things down, and try to finish some of those ideas. Berlin can be pretty full-on, and Brandenburg felt like the right kind of quiet—no rush, no noise.

I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to treat music like a proper work session, but after a few walks in the woods and some headspace, I picked up the guitar and got into it.

At first, it felt a bit awkward—I was piecing words together, trying things out. But then it started to flow. Some of those old ideas finally came together as full songs. That felt good.

The loft I was staying in had a great vibe, so I also shot a new video while I was there. You’ll see it soon on my channels: “Some Are Lucky and Us.”
